Check out all the competitive events in Australia this weekend.

While some categories undergo final testing, others are getting ready to compete, with plenty of motor sport action taking place this weekend, right around Australia.

cams.com.au take a look at some events on the busy motor sport calendar, from the national stage all through to grassroots motor sport.

Targa North West

When: 15-17 February
Where: Tasmania

The CAMS Australian Targa Championship returns, as Paul Stokell looks to defend his title against a host of big names including seven-time Targa Tasmania champions, Jason and John White.

Competitors will battle it out across some of Tasmania’s most picturesque towns in the north west, drivers will tackle more than 170km of competitive distance on 11 stages. with many of these being more than 20km long.

Last year, CAMS Australian Rally Championship drivers Steve Glenney and Andy Sarandis took out the event, while the Whites were forced in to an early exit, which eventually stopped them from winning the outright championship.

Acting as entree to Targa Tasmania, the event has great local feel where all competitors are based in the one location, making it a great weekend for spectators to get up close and personal to the action.
